Fire razes brewery depot in Osun (Ilesa)
Several
empty crates and bottles had been destroyed in the fire incident that occurred
at the crate depot of the International Brewery, Ilesa, Osun state.
Spokesperson of Osun State Fire Service,Ibrahim Adekunle, during an interview with our correspondent said that as of Saturday morning, fire men were yet to completely subdue the fire.
Adekunle,
who said brief reaction to the pain call by the fire fighters forestalled
spread of the fiery blaze to different spots, added that no life was lost to
the occurrence.
As
indicated by him, extensive examination concerning the reason for the
occurrence had not been finished.
He,
notwithstanding, said shrubbery consuming around the area of the distillery
presumably set off by cigarette butts was emphatically suspected.
Adekunle
said, "From our records, the fire began around 6 pm on Friday and men of
Osun State Fire Service and those of Federal Fire Service quickly conveyed to
the scene.
"The
spot impacted is the brewery box station where void cases or cartons with void
containers were kept. Starting at earlier today, (Saturday), we are yet to
totally stifle the fire because of the idea of the things kept there. In any
case, we have limited it to a spot. It can't spread once more.
"We
have not done a far reaching examination at this point yet we emphatically
speculate bramble consuming, perhaps set off by cigarette butts.
"Nonetheless,
we have had the option to limit it to a spot. It can't spread once more. We
can't say the misfortune yet in light of the fact that we have not gathered
subtleties of what was kept in the terminal from the administration. No setback
was recorded."
